Kiersten Dickson was first a customer at Olde Blind Dog, then she became a coworker, but she was also a friend to everyone she met.
Kiersten worked as a server at Olde Blind Dog while attending Georgia State University. In January, 2014, Kiersten started getting sick, but kept going to school and working, even during the St. Patrick's Day madness. On May 5, 2014 Kiersten was diagnosed with Lung Cancer, and on that day Kiersten also became the face of courage and perseverance.
Even through chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Kiersten attended school and also worked with multiple charities and foundations to help people suffering from cancer.
Kiersten lost her battle on July 22, 2015, but we're carrying on the fight against childhood cancer in her memory.
Before she passed, Kiersten asked her parents to do everything in their power to keep other kids from suffering the way she had, so John, Shawn and Erin have been active in fundraising for Pediatric Cancer Research since Kiersten's passing. John jumped at the opportunity to join the Olde Blind Dog's team for their St. Baldrick's "Brave the Shave" Childhood Cancer Research fundraiser.
The Olde Blind Dog team needs your help so that we can help fund the research that will keep other children from suffering Kiersten's fate. Any donation's welcome. $5, $10, $20.....it doesn't matter. It all adds up! Please click on the link and donate to this worthy cause.
