I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Olde Blind Dog

3/12/16 Update:
Thank you for the generous support!   I've exceeded my goal by $330, but there's still a week left!!!   I'd love to raise even more money!   I'll even offer up my beard for shaving!    Coming down to the wire!
2/25/16 Update:
I've crossed my original goal line of $3,500!    I sincerely appreciate everyone's support!   Since the shaving's still 3 weeks away, I've moved the goal line to see if I can raise even more research money!!
2/17/16 Update:
I've hit $1,000 raised, so I'm going to match $1,000!!!!  Awesome support!!
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! I know firsthand how underfunded pediatric cancer research is.   When Kiersten was undergoing chemotherapy at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, we got the chance to speak at length with the doctors and nurses who are trying their hardest to save the lives of children with 30 year old treatments.   Everyone talks about keeping children safe and "doing it for the children" but it's time to quit paying lip service to that notion and step up to the plate!   Kiersten begged my not to shave my head since she said it'd look ungodly ugly, but I'm willing to bet it doesn't look too ugly from where she's at now.    Please help fund childhood cancer research by donating to my fundraiser.   Much more research is needed to find new, more effective and less harmful treatments.    Help me keep additional fathers and mothers out of the sorry fraternity that I've had to join.
