Every 2 minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer. Childhood cancers are very different from adult cancers, but are unfortunately under-funded and under-researched. As a scientist, I am very aware of the price of common laboratory equipment needed for this kind of research:

A set of pipets? $1367.03 - A good lab should have several sets.

A case of pipet tips? $254.20 - A busy lab could use these in a week.

A case of gloves? $249.48 - Might last a busy lab a month.

I am looking forward to getting my head shaved on April 23 alongside friends, colleagues, and perfect strangers to do anything we can to raise money in support of the Saint Baldrick's Foundation's campaign to help fund childhood cancer research. Please consider making a donation, or even signing up to brave the shave with us to help this cause.
