Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

National Partner

Baldtenders

Hello Baldtenders and friends! We wanted to take a moment to share the original inspiration behind 'Team Baldenters' for our new friends and supporters. Many of you already know longtime Galway Bay bartender, Hoss Mitchell. In March 2009, Hoss's son, Desmond, was diagnosed with a very rare type of leukemia at the young age of 2 1/2. Thanks to the incredible team of nurses and doctors at Johns Hopkins Pediatric Oncology, he will be celebrating SEVEN years cancer free this July. Desmond has and continues to be an inspiration to many, including Team BALDTENDERS - be brave, never give up and always stay positive! We want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support in the Baldtenders efforts to fight pediatric cancer by raising funds for the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Every donation goes directly toward funding pediatric cancer research grants. Be Brave, Go Bald!

We are shaving our heads to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So we decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now we need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

It's all about the kids. Let's fund childhood cancer research to help kids grow up cancer-free. Get involved or make a donation today, and click a photo below to see why we need cures now.
