Hello Everyone! Thanks so much for opening this page! I have made the decision to participate in St. Baldrick's day this year as both a shavee and volunteer. What this means is not only will I be helping out with the event on March 27th, but I will also be shaving my head (yeah, you heard me, shaving my head). I need your help! In order to shave my head, I have set a personal goal of $1250 in fundraising. In order to accom...plish this, I am asking everyone to donate as much as they can. This can be a small amount, a large amount, or anything that is left in your pockets from breakfast. As a college student who had to pick between groceries this week and gas in her car, I completely understand if you are unable to donate a large sum or even any at all. All I'm asking is that you try. The end result benefits us all, and you'll be able to see me without hair!
This year I am sponsoring Michael. Michael was diagnosed with a highly aggressive brain tumor, and after a 9 month struggle, sadly did not make it. Regardless of how you feel about cancer, human population, medical advances, etc., please help me to help put an end to the suffering of these kids by donating whatever you can.
As of now, the majority of shavees have been men. Help me to fight not only childhood cancer, but also the social stigma attached to women with bald/shaved heads. Bald is beautiful. Let's show these kids that throughout it all, they'll continue to be beautiful, too.
Thank you so much. Your support means everything to these children.
