I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: AP Lit Baldies

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: AP Lit Baldies

I'm raising money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. This year marks my tenth year raising funds to help provide treatment and research for a cure to childhood cancer. Every year, I hope that this will be the year I don't need to raise money... Sadly, that has not been the case. So 2019, year ten, finds me being named a "knight commander" by the St. Baldrick's Foundation. So I figure if I am going to carry a title like that I need to earn it. Therefore, I am setting my goal this year for $17, 834. If I can earn that, that will mean you have helped me surpass $100,001 over my ten years fundraising and shaving.

Let's make this year we all prove how much funding research and working toward a cure means to us. Please dig deep to make this a record setting year. My previous highest amount raised was $15, 396, so this will be tough trying to surpass that by $ 2437. I know with all of your help, we can achieve this goal. In addition to asking for your donations, I am hoping if you have any connections to businesses, corporations, or any celebrates with deep wallets you could pass along my information. I would be more than happy to speak to them and make a case for why St. Baldricks would be a worthwhile donation. All I know is if I am going to have any chance of surpassing $17,000, I will need some big, big donations.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Thank you friends. As always, thanks for always supporting me and putting up with all my begging.  Stealing the words of Clarence, from "It's a Wonderful Life", "No man is a failure who has friends. Thanks for the wings."
