I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Ihm Shaving

It's that time of year again. And although this will be my 8th year raising money and awareness for childhood cancer, it will be my 1st in our new home of North Carolina. Most of you know why St. Baldrick's is so important but for my new friends, I will be brief.

St. Baldrick's gives grants (money from donations like yours) to doctors and research facilities who are trying to cure childhood cancers and make treatment less toxic. My sister Gwendolyn is an Infant Leukemia survivor (bone marrow transplant in 2007). The list of side effects from her treatment is endless and in 2017 she needed a heart transplant because of the damage caused by chemotherapy and radiation. She needs to see numerous specialists and deals with a number of health issues, but my parents always remind us of how fortunate and blessed we are. And I agree.

Childhood cancer is considered rare, yet worldwide, every 2 minutes, another kid is diagnosed and in the US, 1 out of every 5 will not survive. It's not fair. It's not fair for the kids, their families and their friends, like me.

Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.

Thank you,

Sean Christopher Ihm

P.S. I am named after my dad's cousin who died of Leukemia
