Hello all! My name is Samantha Treadway & I am a bartender at The Goose's Acre Irish Bistro & Pub, as well as a college student at Lone Star Montgomery. I have decided to shave my head in participation with the St. Baldrick's Foundation to raise money for childhood cancer.
I have family members and friends who have gone through cancer but my main inspiration is the strongest woman I know, my mom. After spending countless hours at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for her surgery and recovery since 2009, I fell in love with the sense of family that cancer survivors provide each other. I'm a blood donor for M.D. Anderson patients and now feel that shaving my head for the St. Baldrick's organization can continue my efforts in giving back.
St. Baldrick's has raised more money for childhood cancer than ANY other organization except the U.S. government!
Please support me with a donation, every dollar helps and ALL money raised will go straight to the charity.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. These kids need more birthdays more than I need my hair.
Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail. You can also come see me at work, where we accept donations daily and you can receive a free St. Baldrick's awareness bracelet, as well as have your name posted in the restaurant as a donator :)
THANK YOU!
