I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Nine years ago my niece was diagnosed with Leukemia and my life was forever changed. Through her diagnosis and treatment I was inspired to change my career and become a nurse.
As I went through nursing school I knew immediately that I wanted to join the warriors that help others fight childhood cancer as well as be inspired by the children and families who endure this battle. Because of this, I joined the staff at the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children's Hospital Colorado, where I have worked the past 6 years.
Over the past year, I have made the commitment to grow my hair as long as possible so that I could be a shavee at St. Baldricks in 2017. So, I need your help in reaching my goal of $2500. Any donation makes a difference to the cure and provides hope to so many families and patients. Please don't let my fro grow any longer because I don't think the staff at work or myself can take it any longer.
