I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello beautiful family and friends!

I’ve decided to get a $300 haircut and I need help paying for it. Let me explain…

Unfortunately my locks haven’t reached a long enough length to donate again. However, it turns out that some amazing people at my university are hosting BRAVE THE SHAVE, a fundraiser for pediatric cancer research. This means I get to cut my hair and help children (my two favorite things)

I find it really sad that for some kids, inexplicable disease makes the choice for them of how long they have to live.

Cancer is the 2nd leading cause of death in children ages 1 to 14.

1 in 5 children diagnosed will not survive.

In committing the choice of shaving my head, I'd like to help even a little bit to end childhood cancer.

I’ve done my research on the St. “BALD”rick’s Foundation and I am proud to encourage others to support it. The donations fund research grant to find the cure to pediatric cancer. They do what they say the will, with over 70% of donations going to programs and 20% going to fundraising efforts.

So, I have 3 days to fundraise my goal of $300 by Saturday, which is when the buzzcut happens…We can keep giving, but if you're like me *cough a procrastinator cough* and work great with deadlines, then please donate to my page now!

You can help by donating $5, $10, or $15 to the page.
If you find it easier, you can also venmo me @ lili-ramirez-4

RSVP to the FB event if you want to see it happen! https://www.facebook.com/events/580251445688738/permalink/594267300953819/
