In September of 2017, Liam (6 years old) was admitted to Loyola Children's Hospital after a CT scan indicated his kidneys were enlarged and losing function. From there, Liam has been diagnosed with ALL – Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia- and has been receiving weekly chemotherapy treatments. These treatments will last for three (3) years! His single mother, Courtney Silha, has taken a leave from work and all other leisure activities since the diagnosis to take him to treatments, help with homebound- schooling, and ultimately be the primary source of care and support.
Throughout Liam's journey, our friend has been a true Warrior. He continues telling jokes, laughing, moon walking and keeping up with his schoolwork (given his health per day). Liam is an only child that absolutely loves the White Sox, Superheroes, Pokémon and playing soccer. Please help Liam and his family in this long and tiring journey through Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and give Liam his fun, active, and loving daily routine back!
Please join us as we raise money to cure cancers that affect children like Liam.
Thank you!
