I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Jack Przanowski has Down syndrome, which put him at a higher risk to develop leukemia. The odd thing about kids with Down Syndrome, they also have a higher cure rate for pediatric cancer. Just before his second birthday, in January 2004, we found out Jack had acute myeloid leukemia (AML). After six months of intense treatments and a year of bi-weekly visits to the hospital, Jack beat it. Unfortunately, at age 4, in October 2006, he was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). This leukemia is not as intense in treatment, but the treatment lasted for three years until his Port was removed in January 2010. Jack celebrated 8 years cancer free on January 8th!

Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year.
