I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Baldscripts

Family & Friends, I have decided to participate in St. Baldrick’s in March of 2018. St. Baldrick’s Foundation (stbaldricks.org) is a wonderful charity for childhood cancer research. My company, Allscripts, has a large team each year that we deem, Baldscripts. I plan on participating in March. Many of you may be asking why I am doing this. The first reason is that as a mother, I am so thankful that my son has been healthy. I feel for any mother who has a child with cancer. The second reason is that I have been growing my hair out for a year and will be donating what is cut off to Children with Hair Loss (www.childrenwithhairloss.us). Children with Hair Loss is another great organization that provides wigs made of human hair to children who have lost their hair due to a medical diagnosis. This will be my third time donating my hair to an organization who make wigs for kids. The last reason is a little more about me. I heard someone say that every woman should do this once in their life. It is very freeing. It definitely won’t take me as much time to get ready. If I really hate it, I will wear a hat and it will always grow. I have never really done anything crazy in my life so I guess it is about time.
