I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving the braids off! As many of my friends and family know on March 15th, 2013 I was diagnosed with stage 3B Classical Hodgkin's Lymphoma Nodular Sclerosis. I proactively shaved my head at that time, though I was a weird 1% and my hair grew through the entire 6 month treatment period. I officially had finished my chemo in September and my journey of remission began then. However, since I was diagnosed in March of 2013 and I am now reaching my 5 year remission mark I have decided to shave my head again as a celebration. And I am curious to see if my post chemo curls are still there or not (they may just be weighed down from all the hair I have). (After this is their generic message, which I feel is still pertinent.) I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
