I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Many people have asked me why I’m doing this so I want to tell you about my Honored Kid, Kylie. I met Kylie’s dad through my husband and the wonderful world of skateboarding. Kylie is 11 years old and has acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She was diagnosed October 2016 and currently is in maintenance. She has been through so much but she’s a fighter and is making amazing progress. I follow her through a Facebook page her mom moderates called KickinitwithKylie It’s so inspirational and humbling to see her experiences. It’s what motivated me to do this. No child should have to endure what Kylie has been through. I’d like to encourage everyone reading this to follow Kylie’s page and be inspired.

Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
