I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Ava Warriors

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Ava Warriors

This is my 7th year shaving for St. Baldrick's, the largest provider of private funding for childhood cancer research. Thanks to friends and family, our team of friends has raised about $27,000 over the years (pics from each year at end)! I shave for all kids battling cancer and especially in honor of friends and family below.

The first time I shaved was in 1st grade when my cousin Casey (11) was diagnosed with a stage IV wilms tumor. Casey is now 17 and after a hard fight including removal of a kidney, part of her liver, and chemo/radiation, she is cancer free and headed to college next year!

Last year my friend Max's sister, Ava, was diagnosed with a DIPG tumor at 9 years old. Ava was my brother's classmate and I'm sad she lost her fight after her courageous battle. Max is going to shave with us this year in honor of his sister!

Cancer stinks. My Grandpa Hanrahan was proud of this fundraiser and loved to watch me shave all those years. He was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in October and lost his hard fought battle in just 40 days. He was the best!

I'm shaving for Casey, for Ava, for my Grandpa, and all people fighting cancer, especially kids, because childhood cancer research is underfunded. WE NEED TO FIND BETTER TREATMENTS AND ST. BALDRICK'S FUNDS IMPORTANT TRIALS AND RESEARCH! Your support and donations have meant a lot to me over the years. THANK YOU!
