I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Go Bald or Go Home

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

It's that time of year again! I'm teaming up with my fellow firefighters to join St. Baldrick's in the fight against childhood cancer. I'll be shaving my head on March 16! Join the fight by donating at my page and/or our team "Go Bald or Go Home," or direct to the cause at www.stbaldricks.org.

If you'd like to join our team in Woodbridge, let one of us know. I challenge you any of my friends to follow suit.

My goal is $3,000 this year. If I hit the goal, my head will not only be shaved, but my eyebrows will go green. If I hit $3,200, my eyebrows will get shaved. If I hit $3500, I will undergo a complete body shave! Ouch.

And before you ask, YES, McAllister's Beer & Balls is a sponsor of our team again this year. Any money that ends up in the tip jar will go to the cause. Also, stay tuned for info on a special fund raising event at McAllister's.

Even if you're not a shavee, please come out to the event. It's a lot of fun and there is a great silent auction as well. For more information visit https://www.stbaldricks.org/events/owlvfd
