I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Five years ago I shaved my head to raise money for childhood cancer research.

Well, it all grew back, so it's time to shave again!

According to the St. Baldrick's Foundation, children's cancer research is underfunded, and different enough from adult cancer that it needs separate research.  Additionally, I'll be giving my locks to Wigs for Kids, which -- according to their site -- never charges the families who receive a "custom hair replacement system."

Last time I shaved, I managed to raise $700 from friends and family. This time around, I want to hit that $1,000 mark. Additionally, my mother, who has much longer hair than I, will also shave this year. She also has a $1,000 goal.

Regardless of the total, every bit helps. If you can give five or 10 dollars, that would be sweet. If you can give $20, that would be awesome. If you can give more? Well, we certainly won't say "no" :).
