Pediatric cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the United States and every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the number one private funder of pediatric cancer research grants in the United States. Funds raised through donations to “shaves” is granted to researchers through a competitive application and review process ensuring that the very best pediatric cancer research is funded, no matter where it is happening. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is laser focused on funding research only for pediatric cancer research because we believe all kids should be able to take their childhoods back from cancer and grow up to have long and healthy lives. A donation today will have a ripple effect for decades to come because funding research now ensures young investigators stay in the field and give their time and talent to pediatric cancer. Cures are possible if the financial support is in place to allow researchers opportunities to pursue them.
