I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: TransRe "Team Adam"

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: TransRe "Team Adam"

This is the fifth time I am shaving my head to raise money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, but this year is the most special one yet. As everyone reading this probably knows, my dad died on June 14, 2017. In the ten and a half years he battled his cancer, he never gave up hope that there would be a treatment for his disease. When he died, my mom showed me a huge stack of papers from the research he had done on pancreatic cancer. Our family is a huge supporter of St. Baldrick's because my dad always said that no matter how bad we had it, children and their families who battle cancer had it worse. I am honored to be a member of "Team Adam" of TransRe, the team that his co-workers formed in memory of him. I know he will be there with me in spirit on March 16 when I shave to raise money for pediatric research grants. Like my dad, I am a fighter, and I will never, ever give up hope.

If you want to know more about my dad and his amazing story, he was featured in this St. Baldrick's blog in December. Here's the link...  https://www.stbaldricks.org/blog/post/giving-back-in-honor-of-adam
