I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Five For Fighting...Cancer

You heard it right - I'm again shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! My fundraising goal is $5000, as this is what I raised with your help last time. Despite the tough economic times we are in, I am sure this amount is attainable. We must remember, this disease doesn't take a break and doesn't give a break to those effected!! It doesn't seem a day goes by that you don't hear about a friend, family member, or acquaintance who is effected by this disease. This diagnosis is heart-breaking and life-changing to all, but when it happens to a child the heartbreak is magnified!! In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure. Did you know that childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. I do this every 3 years, and it is a very worthwhile charity. The "shavees" do a lot of the legwork in the fundraising process to ensure the maximum amount of our donations go toward cancer research. To make a donation, click on "Donate Online" or "Donate by mail or phone." I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart for your continued support, together we CAN defeat childhood cancer!!!
