It's long hair season over here at the Delaney home.
We know the drill, here's the cause:
What is neuroblastoma? It's a type of childhood cancer that develops in the nerve tissue outside of the central nervous system. 1000 new cases per year are diagnosed in the US.
May 29th 2007 Maggie ( our cousin) was diagnosed with n-myc amplified (high risk) stage 4 neuroblastoma. She spent her 1st birthday in MSKCC in patient unit to receive her first round of chemotherapy.
In 2016 Maggie's surgeon Dr. Michael LaQuaglia was inducted into Xavier High School's Hall of Fame. Maggie's surgery was 8 hours long!! Maggie was 16 months old at the time. Dr. LaQuaglia is truly a miracle worker!!
2017 will mark 10 years since that surgery. Today Maggie is enjoying her family, her dog Geno and making music videos. She would not be enjoying swimming, skiing and hanging with friends if it were not for therapies that are funded by your help!!
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
Lance and Colin will also like to thank The McCreesh's and their team for their effortless amount of energy and time that goes into each event that they spear head. Your family especially Brent are truly an inspiration!!
Thanks in advance!
And we are being thanked this year by being inducted to the Knight of the Bald Table!!
Be proud of your scars, for they give testimony to the battles faced, fought and won!
Can't Stop, Won't Stop
Lance and Colin
