I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: CHO Attending Team

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. I have worked in healthcare with kids for the last 25 years and have seen incredible advances in care and outcomes. Every child -- and his or her family -- that I have the privilege of encountering inspires me to "brave the shave" to raise funds for research and to join in solidarity with the kids whose hair is lost as a result of treatment. And I have been growing my hair so that I can also donate what is cut off for the use of kids who would like a wig when their hair is gone. The event will be at Children's Oakland (where I work) in the beautiful Research campus. Please help me raise my goal of $3000.00 and join in the effort to put an end to -- as the kid's buttons say-- "Stupid Cancer!"
