My Story

Joseph, or Joey, is an easy-going, artistic, smart and friendly little 5-year-old boy. He loves mini golf, the beach, animals (especially puppies) painting, drawing, gardening and having fun with his brother, Robby. Joey was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on April 2, 2013. He is currently in treatment at Hackensack University Medical Center. He is excited to start kindergarten in September and walk to school with his older brother, Robby. Such a brave boy-although treatment days are not easy, he approaches them with the patience and positivity that put us in awe. During these past 5 months Joey has taught us so much about bravery, happiness and kindness. He's such a special little boy.
