I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hi Everyone!  I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!  Yes, I know I don't have much to give, but I would give it all over and over again for this cause!  Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to join the St. Baldrick's team by raising money for cures.

As a parent and a teacher I know how gut-wrenching it is when our child is sick. Yet most of us have the security of knowing that modern medicine has cures for our child's illness. We know we can depend on the asthma pumps and fruit-flavoured pain and fever reducers to do their job - and we have the privilege of seeing our children bounce back to their active happy selves in no time.  I cannot imagine how it must be for a parent whose child is diagnosed with cancer.  They must face every hour of every day with fear and hope.  It's the hope part that I feel we can help with.  Thanks to continued support from St. Baldrick's and other organizations,  researchers have the funding they need to continue searching for new treatments for childhood cancers,  and thanks to continued funding,  break-through treatments are being discovered, and are saving lives.

Will you join me and be a part of this amazing cause?  Please make a donation and know that every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Thank you so much!
