I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Ava Warriors

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Ava Warriors

No child should have to battle cancer, so for the 6th year, Luke asked to shave his head for St. Baldricks, which funds more in childhood cancer grants and research than any other private foundation.

In 1st grade, Luke first shaved with two friends (shaving for their friend Hannah) in honor of his cousin Casey (11) who was diagnosed with Stage IV Wilms Cancer. Casey is now 16 and after a hard fight including removal of a kidney, part of her liver, and chemo/radiation, she is nearly 5 years cancer free!

Luke's now in 6th grade and still passionate about it. His friend Max's sister, Ava, was diagnosed with a rare DIPG tumor. Ava is Ronan's 4th grade classmate, has touched so many people, and is an amazing warrior!  We love their family and are praying hard for them.

Surprisingly, research for childhood cancer is underfunded, but St. Baldricks is trying to change that. Luke, the Fischer boys, and possibly some of Luke's baseball team/parents are shaving for Ava, Casey, Hannah, and all kids facing cancer with hopes of helping fund lifesaving research. Your support means a lot. THANK YOU!
