I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello people. I am a 1337 h4x0r in training. There are many problems in our society, but one of them is cancer. I am sure that many of the readers of this page will know that cancer in adults is widely known about and is highly funded. Something that many of you may not know however, is that about 90% of these cancers come about because of lifestyle. For example, lung cancer, for the most part is caused by smoking. On the other hand we have childhood cancer. I challenge any readers to come up with a cancer that would go under the category of childhood cancers that comes about because of lifestyle. About every 3 minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer.  That amounts to roughly 20 per hour, 480 per day, 3,360 per week, 13,440 per month, or 161,280 per year. This is a worldwide count. In the US alone, approximately 0.35% of people will be diagnosed with cancer before age 20. This may seem like a small number (and in fact it is a VERY small percentage) that doesn't mean you shouldn't donate to the research of them. To the adults with children: What would you think if your child was diagnosed with cancer? Wouldn't you want the research of this cancer to be funded? To the adults without children: While some of you aren't worried about kids supporting you in old age (due to the welfare state collapsing) maybe you should care about the other things these kids can do. What if one of these kids turned out to be the next brilliant inventor? Wouldn't you want that technology to make your life easier?  Cancer is the second largest killer in the US of minors, behind car crashes. Childhood cancer has a much lower amount of awareness and a much lower amount of funding than cancer in adults. However these cancers that kids get are much less likely to be influenced by outside factors. In short, these kids did nothing wrong, but get nothing while the idiots out there (I'm not saying that all cancer patients over 18 made bad choices, many probably didn't, they just lost the game of Russian Roulette) who screwed up in life get money rained down on research for the cancers that they have. How is that a fair deal???!!! Anyway, this is 1337 h4x0r Sam logging out of your system. Sincerely, Sam Philips, Squire (Soon to be Knight)
