I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team New Research 6

I am shaving my head for my sister Haley. She had medullablastoma, a type of brain and spinal cord cancer. She was diagnosed at the age of five and when I was three, four in two weeks. We went to the hospital and found out the tumor was around the size of a lemon. When it got removed she had to learn to move and speak again. We didn't think she would make it. We had to be airlifted to the LA children's hospital. She took radiation therapy, chemo, and we pushed her around in a wheelchair but yet you would never see her without a smile on her face. We thought she was cancer free but we celebrated too soon. She relapsed but she had still kept her upbeat positive attitude. After her second brain surgery she suffered from epilepsy. There is no known cure for Relapsed Medullablastoma. We spent the next years on experimental chemotherapy. It had less side effects such as the letting her hair grow and it was nice to see her with a head full of hair again! On July 8, 2014 Haley passed away. You can never be prepared to lose someone you love. I am shaving my head so other people never have to experience what Haley did. Please help save lives by donating now. Thank you.
