I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: MCHENRY POLICE

Hello Friends. Well, here we are another year on still fighting the fight against childhood cancer. I will continue to do my part to raise awareness by participating as a "shave for the 4th consecutive year in the St. Baldrick's Community Shave sponsored by McHenry High School. Two years ago this event had more than 965 shavees, making it the largest single shave event in the world? But more importantly, this event has raised more than $1,000,000 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation since 2009!Won't you please consider supporting the St. Baldrick's Foundation in their fight against childhood cancer? You can participate as a shavee or, if you prefer to keep your locks, by contributing to St. Baldrick's through my fundraising page, or anyone who is participating in the event.

This year's event again HOPES to push the $200,000 fundraising mark.

Making the choice to participate in this event is easy for me. I will continue to shave in honor of my friend, Hope Fuller, who died on 03/10/10 at the age of 12 from Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a killer of a brain cancer with basically no survival rate. Six years after Hope's passing kids are still be taken by DIPG so we can't give up the fight. Please consider contributing to the fight to cure childhood cancers, like DIPG, by visiting my participant link below. Also, please visit Hope's link on my page, read her story, and keep her memory alive.Every dollar helps! Thank you. Derik
