I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Commack Troop 125

Hello Again Family & Friends!  This is David!

As you know I have been involved with St Baldrick's for several years -- actually, this is my 7th year (and I am being knighted)! I do this for several reasons. One is for my mom - who is the toughest woman I know and my biggest hero. I also do this for others who have battled cancer (my cousin Doreen, Aunt Jane)  and many that still are battling. When I do this, it makes me feel good that I am helping others. I am also raising money for childhood cancer which is a huge issue and a disease that many are fighting. And finally, I do this to raise awareness. We need to fight for them!  This year I am honoring a little "angel". Her name was Isabella. Although I never met her, the name and picture struck me. Isabella has always been my mother's favorite name. This little angel is in heaven, and I hope that she knows how much we are trying to find a cure for the disease that took her to heaven too soon. Last year, Troop 125 raised over $5,000. My goal this year is to exceed that goal. As team captain again, my job is to encourage as many scouts as I possibly can to join the team and help raise money towards this wonderful cause. My personal goal is to raise $2,000 this year. My parents are the first to donate $100 towards my goal. Last year, with your generous donations, I met my goal and helped my team reach their goal as well. I hope that family and friends will be as generous this year. The event is being held at Commack High School on Friday, March 4, 2016. Please be "a-head" of everyone else and make your pledge today.
