I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team PURE

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team PURE

Happy St. Baldrick’s Day! Tomorrow, March 8, I will join 6 of my colleagues at PURE in solidarity with a group of people affected by one of life’s cruelest fates. A cause, I can barely even talk about, and  I’ll talk about most anything. But I just can’t talk about childhood cancer.

But sticking my head in the sand won’t help any of those children affected by the disease, so my colleagues and I are sticking our heads under a razor and shaving our hair to raise awareness and money for the fight, and for those kids.

There is an organization and an event you may have heard of called “St. Baldrick’s”. It was initiated in 1999 by a couple of Irish insurance industry guys and another colleague of theirs. One of the three challenged the other two to join him in doing some good in the world in return for their good fortune. And so began the tradition to get as many men and women as possible around the world to shave their heads on or near St. Patrick’s Day in support of this epic fight.

As you’ll see from either page below, we were originally set to go for our haircut on March 11. We called an audible and will be shaved on stage tomorrow afternoon, March 8, in Miami at PURE’s annual Leadership Forum of our agents from around the country.

You don’t have to come to Miami to participate, you can go to the website and lend your own voice in solidarity with us.

Won’t you please help us help try and change the fate of so many little ones around the world?

Thank you,

Bobby
