I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. I'm 13 years old, in the 8th grade at Skaneateles Middle School, and have 3 younger sisters. I'm going to shave my head for childhood cancer research. My Aunt Tina died at age 58 from colon cancer in 2010 which has really impacted my life. I miss her every day. My friend Grace Murphy's mom also went through breast cancer while Grace was young which impacted both of their lives greatly. I am so glad she pushed through because Mrs. Murphy is like a second mother to me. My other friend Anna Major's mom also survived breast cancer. I remember seeing Mrs. Major without hair and I was so sad. In 6th grade, a boy in my grade named Nate got leukemia. He couldn't come to school all year and lost all of his hair from chemo. It just got worse and worse. That's why I was so surprised to see him on the first day of 7th grade. I don't want other people to go through the pain I went through of missing a friend or losing a loved one. Put an end to childhood cancer!!!
