I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: MTFBWR....May the Force Be With Ryan!!!

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: MTFBWR....May the Force Be With Ryan!!!

This is my third year shaving my head for St. Baldricks. First I shaved my head in Highland Park for Superman Sammy Sommer. We were all sad that he died from AML. It was the first time I knew of a kid that died. I said I would keep shaving my head for him.

Then, I met Mia Gurevitz, a little girl in our hometown who has brain cancer. She is a tough girl and she has to go through treatments all the time for her cancer. It is hard for her. Our families are friends and I am shaving to support her.
When we moved to Austin, TX we met Ryan Etten. Our families are very close friends and we love to play with him and Henry and ski with them. We swim and just goof around. Amy and Nick are like aunt and uncle to us. When we found out that Ryan had Medulloblastoma, I was so so sad. It is hard to see my friend have to go to the hospital so much and be so sick. I want him to get better so we can play and run around and have fun again. I know that his treatments are going to make his hair fall out more. I don't want him to be alone in being bald. Sometimes it is hard to be different. So I am going to shave my head this year so that we can stand next to each other and he won't feel different.
I hope to raise a LOT of money for research so that Ryan and Mia don't have to be sick anymore.
My dad is going to shave his head, and so is my little brother.
PLEASE DONATE TO ST. BALDRICKS TO HELP FIND A CURE FOR MY FRIENDS.
Thank you!!
