I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

***Shave date is set for March 9th @ 3:30pm***

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

A note from me:

"Here it is guys. St Baldrick's takes place March 12! Though I will not be able to shave my head on that date, I have talked to those who manage St. Baldrick's and will still be a part of this event. I will have my head shaved the week of March 6th in conjunction with the event held at Louisville Slugger Stadium.

I was really questioning if this was something I could do when it was mentioned to me. I talked to my kiddos, and Abbey told me no, not to do it because it would look funny and that she would want me to wear a hat afterwards. This helped to make my decision. I want to be a positive role model for my girls, and I want them to grow up realizing there is more to life than the way you look and to never judge someone by their appearance. I also want to take this chance to teach them about the struggles others face without a choice.

If you're willing and able to donate, I would greatly appreciate it. I'll continue to update as we get closer to March. Thanks everyone!"
