I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Ben's Green Drakkoman

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Ben's Green Drakkoman

In 2006 my son Ben was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. In the spring of 2007 Ben's twin brother Jams and I shave our heads for the first time at a St Baldrick's event while Ben was in a nearby hospital receiving chemotherapy. It was an incredibly moving and powerful event. To celebrate life and do something so easy yet powerful was an amazing experience. James and I have participated annually ever since. Ben loved the idea of us shaving our heads in solidarity with all of the children battling cancer. In 2009 Ben's journey on earth ended. We have continues to support St Baldrick's. In 2015 we partnered with St Baldrick's to form Ben's Green Drakkoman Hero Fund to fund a grant for osteosarcoma research. We funded a St. Baldrick's Fellow who is researching immunological treatments for osteosarcoma and neuroblastoma. We need your support to fund the same grant in 2016. One of Ben's dreams was to fund research to find cures. By supporting us you are helping to fulfill the Big Dream of a little boy. Thank you!!!
