I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Alpha Omega Epsilon

In just a few short weeks, I'm going to do something kinda crazy, I'm going to be shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

In my 21 years on this earth, I have had too many loved ones, family members and friends taken by various forms of cancer. I have wanted to have a way to fight this cruel disease for a long time, and I believe I have found a great one.
St. Baldricks is a national organization that holds head shaving events all across the country. They are all about raising funds to conquer childhood cancers!
Worldwide, a child is diagnosed with cancer every 3 minutes. Childhood is supposed to be about fun, friends, family, laughing and learning. A child diagnosed with cancer has their childhood stolen from them and are given procedures, doctor visits, and stress in its place. Every child deserves the chance to live life to the fullest! If my going bald for St. Baldrick's can take even a single step in the right direction towards a cure, then I say bring it on!
Hair can grow back, kids can't.
I am asking for help to reach my fundraising goal of $1,000. Every little bit will help, whether you can donate, volunteer your time, or your lovely locks!
Donations can be made on my shavee page at:
https://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/801540/2015
or on our event page at:
https://www.stbaldricks.org/events/UNCC
If you can come out to the event I would love to see you there! It will be at 6pm in UNC Charlotte's Student Union (Room 340). Your support would mean the world to me!
If you have any questions what so ever, feel free to message me.
Life is a beautiful journey and everyone deserves the chance to take it!
