I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Bethesda Baldies

Last year my goal was $250.00 but I doubled it at $550.00. With YOUR support I believe I can reach that again! In just just two weeks the event will come and go, but your donation can help make changes that will last a lifetime.

A few years ago I'd always be up for helping a great cause. But now that I'm a father, my heart literally aches for all these children with such a terrible disease. Lindsey and I have been truly blessed with a healthy boy. But I constantly remind myself to not take it for granted. We are not promised anything in this life and we don't know what tomorrow will bring. But in the meanwhile we can fight and show courage for the millions suffering.
A few facts:
"More children are lost to cancer in the U.S. than any other disease—in fact, more than many other childhood diseases combined.
Before they turn 20, about 1 in 285 children in the U.S. will have cancer.
Worldwide, a child is diagnosed every 3 minutes.
In the 1950s, almost all kids diagnosed with cancer died. Because of research, today about 90% of kids with the most common type of cancer will live. But for many other types, progress has been limited, and for some kids there is still little hope for a cure."
Click the link and donate whatever you can afford. Every little bit counts!
And be sure to keep the receipt for Uncle Sam and your tax write off!
And please feel free to share this post!
Thank you all!

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
