I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Garvey

My son, Owen, and I are shaving our heads to raise money for childhood cancer research! We have both experienced cancer in the lives of family members this past year, and we want to support this important research.  As we signed up, we got scared about what people would think, how we would look, and how we would feel without our hair.  Then I realized...we have the gift of health and life already, what is there to fear?  We have been very blessed in our lives and want to do our part to promote awareness and funds for research, as well as experience this life-changing event together as we do what's most important: help others.  We are still scared :)  but very excited about raising money for this wonderful organization!!

Childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

THANK YOU for your support.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
