I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Dear Friends and Family, I am having my head shaved on March 11th, for kids who are fighting cancer. I am doing this also to raise money for research to help doctors find better cures for cancer. I will be giving the money to an organization called ST. Baldrick’s. ST Baldrick’s gives the money I raise to hospitals so doctors can spend the money on research for cancer cures. ST Baldrick’s is the #1 charity in the nation to give money to childhood cancer research grants except the U.S. government. My fundraising goal this year is $3,000. The first year I shaved my head I was a little nervous and I had a goal of $1,000. I liked it so much I have done it every year since that first year, each year raising my goal by $1,000. ST Baldrick’s has always inspired me. Every year I want to keep raising my goal. I am glad I did ST Baldrick’s that first year, because if I didn’t, I may not be doing it this year. I am very excited that I have reached my goal every year I have done ST Baldrick’s and I hope to reach it again this year. My family and friends have helped me so much the past few years, and I am very grateful of it. THANK YOU!!! Love, Ben
