I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Turbinators

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! I've donated for several years when my friend Jason shaved his head, but as many of you know, this hit much closer to home this past year. My 4 year old son, David, was diagnosed with Wilms (kidney cancer) in April. I shaved my head (for the first time ever) as part of a fundraiser for David along with over 60 family members, friends, and even some strangers to me. I knew at the time that I'd definitely be doing it again come spring with St. Baldricks and that time is here! David had a successful fight and was officially declared in remission in November. He'll never be completely out of the woods, but he is a fighter. I now know more about kids' cancer than I ever thought I would and one of the biggest things I learned is that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So, this is a way to raising money for cures for all the other children and families affected out there. So, I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
