I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Seattle Children's Shavees Against Cancer

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Seattle Children's Shavees Against Cancer

I have been a pediatric oncologist for more than twenty years.  Although I have seen incredible advances in the treatment of childhood cancer during my career, it is obvious that more progress is necessary.   Too many children will die from cancer and those who survive have life-threatening side effects from their therapy.  Until we can cure all children with minimal or no toxicity, we have a mission.

In an era of decreasing federal funding for childhood cancer research, philanthropic support from St. Baldrick's Foundation is essential to bring life-saving advances to children with cancer today.  That is why I will have my head shaved to support the mission of St. Baldrick's Foundation.  Maybe you will donate because you want to see my bald head or maybe you are moved to support the mission also.  Either way, I hope you will help this important cause.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
