I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

When my sister Alicia shaved her head this time last year, I was educated and inspired. Before that I knew little about the St. Baldrick's Foundation or the disappointing state of funding for pediatric cancers. I shaved this year to sustain Alicia's message, and to support the largest non-governmental source funding research initiatives specific to cancers of childhood.

When I consider the tolls of childhood cancers, I think not only of the patients, but of their siblings - kids robbed of the lifelong love, camaraderie, and inspiration that a brother or sister provides. My participation - and appeal to you for further support - is not in honor of any particular patient. It is to give help and hope to brothers and sisters that they may keep their best friends for a lifetime.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
