Hey, Family & Friends!
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
I was a pediatric hematology-oncology nurse for 10 years. I learned first hand about the amazing kids and their families who are dealing with childhood cancer. I was Blessed by my time working with these kids and their families. I became a better RN and a better person, thanks to these kids and their families.
Please consider contributing to this effort. Research makes the difference! Today, the overall survival rate for childhood cancer patients is 80%, from 50% in 1975.
Contributing is so easy, it can be done online with a credit card or in person. I'm so proud to be on Team Cook! Our event is September 29. I would love to go to the even having already met my goal of raising $1000.
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or if you want to join in the fun and become a shavee, raising your own money.
Thanks for your time and consideration of my request.
Best Regards, Gwen Martin, aka "Nurse Grin".
