I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello Reader! I am Andrew Taylor. Just an average guy that has been really lucky and fortunate to have the life that I do. One day during my freshman semester in college I decided to start growing out my hair. I was hoping to have hair like Clay Matthews, Thor, or Mel Gibson (Brave Heart). Six months had passed and I had grown a beautiful flowing mane. Close friends and family had mixed opinions on the issue on whether I should keep or shave it. I shook off the nay sayers and kept growing it with the occasional trim. While growing it I thought of a good friend who grew out his hair long enough to donate for cancer in High school. This memory inspired me to change the goal of Thor like hair to hair long enough to donate. As time went on more people pressured me into cutting. I eventually had to cut my hair shorter than I would have like to for an interview. After this, I gauged the opinion of one my idles about cutting my hair and he said, "It is good shake things up once in a while." Meaning, it is time to shave your head. I decided to go and shave my head the next day. I had an appointment at 2 pm on my Birthday to shave my head. Hours before the appointment a close friend by the name of Zac Garland told me to wait on shaving my head because of this event which he is hosting. After learning more about this event I was glad to be a part of it no matter how small.Hopefully now you have a better idea of why I have long hair and why I am a part of this event. although, I may not have reached my High school friends accomplishment, I am still glad to help in some way.
