Y'all know my hair had become a trademark, of sorts, for me. I have decided to get rid of my "signature look" (Ha!) for kids. Kids with cancer. I know. I know. We all know how I feel about "other people's kids." But my heart aches for children. It's why I love the Regional Food Bank and it's why I'm doing this. I can't make a large donation on my own but I'm counting on my friends and family to pitch in a little here and there; I'll do the hard part!!! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. I did some research and 86% of the money goes directly to research, 12% goes to advertisement and a measly 2% to administration. That's megabuck a for kids' research!!! Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
