Hey everybody!
I'm going to do something pretty extreme, and I'm writing to ask you to support me with a donation for childhood cancer research! What am I doing? I'm going to have my head shaved at a St. Baldrick's Foundation event at Studio 41 in Baldwinsville, NY on March 22nd! I'll say that again. To show you how committed I am to this fundraising event I'm going to have my head shaved!
As a Shavee, I'll stand in solidarity with kids being treated for cancer. But the real point of all this is to raise money for research that will help save lives. I'm doing it for infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting cancer.
To see my donor names, fundraising progress and goal and before and after photos please visit my page on the St. Baldrick's website: www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/691897/2014 (Note: my after photo will be added to the website on the day following the event!)
I promise this gift will be used responsibly. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants. This is a volunteer-driven charity, which keeps fundraising costs low and grants high. St. Baldrick's gave over $24.5 million to childhood cancer research in 2013 almost all raised by more than 58,000 shavees like me, from people like you!
You can give online or with a mobile device by visiting the website shown above or by phone (888-899-BALD). Credit cards are the most efficient way to give. Checks can be made payable to "St. Baldrick's Foundation" and mailed to me at 123 Overlook Drive, Baldwinsville, NY. 13027. Every dollar counts in the fight to Conquer Childhood Cancers!
Please accept my heartfelt thanks for your generous support!
Sincerely,
John King
