I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I wanted to explain how much this all means to me. Cancer does not discriminate. Cancer does not care about gender, race or age. Within 10 months my family lost two amazing women. My aunt Mary, and my cousin Antonella to cancer. Both are loving mothers and did everything and anything for their children. Their love had no boundaries and no exceptions they put their children first on every occasion. It is in their honor and their names that I am participating in St Baldricks this year. As I started this and I did my research what I found scared and baffled me. Childhood cancer is extremely underfunded. that has to change. Children should be high priority. Childhood cancer is the #1 disease killer of children in the U.S and is the second highest cause of death in the U.S after accidents. 1 in 5 children diagnosed with cancer in the U.S with not over come it. And world wide every 3 minutes a child is diagnosed with childhood cancer. After reading all this my heart sank. These are horrible things to have to read let alone go through it. I thought to myself why? Why are we going to let this happen and why are we going to let cancer strike fear in our hearts. Let's stand up tall look cancer in the face and say not anymore. That we are stronger then this. We can beat this. We can find a cure and once and for all be done with cancer. When you make a donation you're doing more then just supporting a cause. You're telling every child and every family that you're on their side and that they're not fighting alone. We all are in this together! And we are stronger then cancer will ever be! Thank you for your support and God Bless!
