In April it will be six years that my best friend Ben lost his little sister to cancer. Even at 8 years old, I knew how this devastating disease not only effects the victim, but how it effects a family, as well. I wanted to do something, but I wasn't sure how to get help. Then, Ben introduced me to St. Baldricks, which i found was a fun organization that raises money for kids with cancer. There are a lot of fundraising organizations out there, but this group focuses on the most innocent and youngest of victims. This will be my 6th year being a shavee and a proud member of Team Lindsey. Since then, many of my friends have joined our group and last year, our team raised over $29,000, which brings us over $100,000, since Team Lindsey was formed. As I have in all other years, I am asking you for help. We have made such a huge contribution for this awesome cause, and our cause has initiated a snowball effect throughout our town, to where we look forward to this event, every year! I am trying to raise $500 this year for St. Baldricks in honor of Lindsey Ledwon, who we lost at such a young age, but who is still with us in memory, fighting for those that still have a chance.
