I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: AVM Traders

Dear friends, On Friday March 14th from 7pm – 11pm, my colleagues at AVM Traders and I are once again participating in a St. Baldrick’s head shaving event to raise money to find cures for childhood cancer. AVM Traders have for the 12th year running teamed up with the Palm Beach County Fire Fighters for what promises to be another great event. Our event this year is at Delray Beach Center for the Arts at Old School Square Main Stage Pavillion. Background information Despite tremendous progress, cancer remains the number one disease killer of children in the U.S. and Canada. One of the ways the St. Baldrick's Foundation raises funds for childhood cancer research is by hosting head-shaving events, where volunteers shave their heads in solidarity with the children who typically lose their hair during treatment. These “shavees” receive pledges of financial support from their friends and family and in turn their generous donations help fund life-saving pediatric cancer research. St. Baldrick’s donors and volunteers have enabled the foundation to fund over $127 million in grants, allowing the foundation to fund more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Every grant goes through a rigorous scientific review process, ensuring every dollar has the greatest possible impact for children with cancer. For a more detailed account of how donations are attributed please visit the St. Baldrick’s website www.stbaldricks.org. How can you help? We are looking for financial and moral support, but mainly financial. If you are willing to help and wish to donate to this worthy cause you can do so by check or credit card. Preferably, donations by credit card may be made online. To donate online, just go to www.stbaldricks.org and follow the instructions. To find us on the website please click the ‘Donate’ button and follow the instructions. Our team name is AVM Traders. We are registered at Old School Square, Delray Beach, Florida. If you wish to donate to me personally then you can just put my name in the Search box. If you wish to donate by check then you can download a donation form directly from the website and mail the check along with the completed donation form directly to St. Baldrick’s Foundation, 1333 S. Mayflower Avenue, Suite 400, Monrovia, CA 91016. Everyone who makes a donation will receive a letter of thanks acknowledging their gift, which can be used for tax filing purposes. St. Baldricks is a 501 (c) (3) registered charity. Federal ID # 20-1173824. All of our previous events received tremendous community support and extensive media coverage so join us if you can at Old School Square, Delray Beach on Friday March 14th, from 7pm onwards as the lovely locks are shorn! Thanks a million
