I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Gen Re

I'm so proud to announce that Stephen and Michael are teaming up with me to raise money for childhood cancer research this year! When I first joined the St. Baldrick's team a few years ago, I looked into childhood cancer, I saw a few statistics that really surprised me: - All types of childhood cancers combined receive only 4% of U.S. federal funding for cancer research. - About 60% of all funding for drug development in adult cancers comes from pharmaceutical companies. For kids? Almost none, because childhood cancer drugs are not profitable. Now, there's obviously a gap in funding for cancer in children, but what can be done about it? St. Baldrick's focuses on raising money in order to conduct research into curing childhood cancer. Of every dollar raised, 82% funds research to find a cure, 16% goes to fundraising (website, phones, postage, printing, t-shirts, office space, staff, etc.) and 2% goes to administration (accounting, distributing and monitoring grants, etc.).

Now we need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Thank you for your support!
